Accountability Is Not Synonymous With Blame

Often times people can confuse accountability and blame, when they really could not be more different. Instead of placing blame, try and shift the conversation to fixing the issue at hand. By focusing on filling in the gap between what you expected and what you received, you can identify the problem and fix it for success going forward. You might not know the root cause of an issue until you ask, and by approaching your team with an accountability mindset, you can avoid the blame game and create a great future.
